Drunk Brookhaven Man Flees Crash Into Bicycle: PA State Police

A Brookhaven man was arrested for allegedly driving under the influence after a hit-and-run crash involving a pedestrian on a bicycle, Pennsylvania State Police announced on Saturday, Nov. 9.

The hit-and-run crash happened at the intersection of South New Middletown Road and Farm Drive Middletown Township, Delaware County on Friday, Nov. 8 at approximately 8:26 p.m., according to PA State Police in Media.

The 57-year-old driver of a 2015 Chevrolet Silverado reportedly struck a cyclist and fled the scene. Fortunately, no injuries were reported in the crash, officials said. The vehicle was later towed, and the driver was taken into custody on suspicion of DUI, police noted.

An investigation into the incident is ongoing, authorities added.
